Directions for Taylor Point Walk

_____________

Start at Vasey Esplanade next to the Public outdoor fitness station and public toilets car park. Take the steps leading up from the car park to the top.

As you walk along, you can stop for views on the right.

Alternatively, continue on and turn into Wilma Street. Go over the rocks that have been put to stop the 4-wheel drivers from going in.

Stick to the left of the trail which will take you all the way to Taylor Point. The trail has been damaged by 4-wheel drivers, but the path is wide enough to get around it. It can become muddy at times on part of the track so be careful.

Keep going until you see the beach ahead of you. When you get to the beach, turn right and head over the rocks to get lovely views out to sea. You can climb over the rocks at low tide.

To head back, continue left along the beach until you see a substantial path on the left heading inland.

Continue along this path until you reach the intersection of Mararna Street and Connemara Close. Turn left and head up the road which will take you back to the site of the rocks placed on the road to stop the 4-wheel drivers.
